ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY: AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH

Horizontal and vertical mobility plays a crucial role in making buildings and spaces sustainable, accessible and inclusive. The new incentives and the NRP represent a virtuous development opportunity for the sector.

The building sector today represents an important starting point for achieving our country's development goals, especially in terms of energy efficiency and accessibility, also in relation to the NRP.

There are three challenges facing this sector, along with the building sector, namely improving environmental quality, safety, including seismic safety, and accessibility, understood as social sustainability.

The second day of GEE will open with a focus on this topic, with a seminar dedicated to “Accessibility and Inclusivity: Rethinking Places and Buildings”, created with ANACAM support.

These issues will be explored in depth, including a look at European incentives, in the dedicated conference “What are the opportunities offered by the programmes linked to the PNRR and the new incentives for energy efficiency in buildings and for overcoming architectural barriers: critical issues and opportunities for growth in the sector”.

In this occasion, with the contribution offered by ANACAM and Anie Ascensori Technical Commission, the discussion will revolve on energy efficiency, how lifts impact buildings, what actions can be taken to reduce their consumption and how these should be aimed at improving performance during non-operation; this will take place together with an analysis of the opportunities or criticalities linked to the new European challenges and it will include an analysis of the incentives made available by national and international policies.
