Three crucial strands relating to the development of the sector, from technologies to the organisation of the offer. One of the key moments of GEE 2025 will be Talks, starting with “Vision and Market Trends”.
Market trends
The global vertical and horizontal transportation market is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by technological innovations, increasing urbanisation and greater attention to sustainability. Representatives of the main trade associations together with research institutions and top national and international experts in vertical and horizontal mobility will analyse market trends and challenges in the sector, with a particular focus on three areas: the opportunities for expansion of the industry at international and Italian level; the new challenges related to the modernisation of the elevator range: efficiency, safety and innovation; finally the strategic contribution of vertical and horizontal transport to rethink the sustainability of buildings.
Innovation and technologies
The second strand of talks, entitled “Innovation and technologies” will aim to analyse the processes of transformation of accessibility and mobility for an increasingly sustainable future. The synergy between mobility and inclusive design is essential to create spaces accessible to all. Vertical and horizontal transportation, in particular, play a key role in ensuring efficient and safe connections between different spaces, responding to the needs of people with different physical abilities. Integrating accessible and innovative solutions is a priority to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.
This also includes reflections on innovative aesthetics and functionality, in particular how design is transforming vertical and horizontal mobility. This is in light of the fact that systems dedicated to vertical and horizontal mobility are no longer simple transport tools but are evolving into a perfect combination of design and innovation, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge buildings and urban spaces. A moment of reflection will also be reserved for emerging technologies for smart and sustainable installations, considering that vertical mobility is redefining the future of buildings thanks to the adoption of emerging technologies.
From regeneration to efficiency
The third area of reflection concerns “Regeneration, Efficiency and Sustainability”, with a view to rethinking vertical and horizontal mobility. A reflection on safety, maintenance and the importance of correctly and constantly training the personnel involved will close the circle of Talks. This meeting will focus on the importance of adopting effective preventive strategies and continuously training maintenance workers to ensure their safety and the proper functioning of the systems.
From people with disabilities to the elderly, the offer adapts to meet the difficulties in the field of mobility.
