Hydraulic lifts, for example, are among the most common in small buildings and, therefore, also in residential contexts. This type of apparatus, which uses liquid-based lifting systems, had to innovate quickly to new issues of eco-sustainability and energy saving. What are the new technologies and proposals from the supply chain in this direction? Some of the most specialised voices in this direction provided us with answers.
According to Alberto Tulli, Sales Director Italy and Product Manager of GMV S.p.A., "replacing old power packs with newer models equipped with high-efficiency dry motors, electronically controlled valves and biodegradable fluids" is the right way to go. "This", he continues, "ensures maximum safety, savings in energy consumption, lower power consumption, better performance and driving comfort, as well as being environmentally friendly. These power packs have minimised the gap between hydraulic and electric lifts in terms of installed power, consumption and pollution, while maintaining a competitive price".
Hevos and Omarlift also agree on a proposal for new valves and control units, respectively, that guarantee the highest quality with the lowest energy consumption.
Indeed, Massimiliano Calcerano, Sales Director of HEVOS srl states, "We developed an electronic valve, HEVOS HE. This product, using specific sensors, is able to better manage the oil flow while minimising pressure losses. This preserves both efficiency, among the highest in its class, and driving comfort, which is comparable to a cable system, with reduced maintenance and simplified regulation (digital via APP). The descent is zero consumption as with all hydraulic lifts".
Alessandro Mordini, CEO of Omarlift srl, continues, "We are focusing on modern, state-of-the-art control units, such as the Siemens INVERTER control unit, which guarantees a reduction in current and power as well as less oil heating. The control unit with integrated inverter gives the opportunity to consume according to the actual load in the cab, avoiding unnecessary waste. We have also invested in a system of solar panels and cogenerators to reduce emissions and the impact on the planet. For the latter, we also have the option of using environmentally friendly biodegradable oils. The supply chain is also directly selected to guarantee the quality and production standards that our company applies internally".
